Comments: I could list pages and pages of books available only in digital format from the publishers Macmillan and its imprints, which I would do anything to read. However, that publisher does not sell ebooks to us in Australia and there’s not a damn thing I can do about it.
I have had to go without reading entire fabulous series’ because they have short stories or such in digital version, which are important to read with the series, but are published by Macmillan, making it impossible for me to get a hold of them.
I’d download a pirated copy in a second, I’ve had enough of this. However, I cannot find pirated copies of most, including Ann Aguirre’s Endurance. It is absolutely devastating, and it seems there is nothing at all I can do to persuade them to change the way they do things…

Comments: I have recently been diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis. I can no longer hold heavy (or even light) books for a long period of time. Even holding a book open while it is flat on the desk can be painful. I therefore love my e-reader. I have been building up my e-reader library by re-buying all my favourite books, I don’t mind the cost. I am however outraged that books that a readily available in paperback or hardcover for sale in australia are not availabe in digital format. Why? I am willing to spend money (again) for my favourite books. The only book of sharon penman’s that i can’t buy in australia if the first one in a series yet all the other books are available. THIS MAKES NO SENSE. We can read in australia you know. (spelling and grammer may be a bit dodgy on my behalf though). Please let us read what we want.
