Every day an author and a publisher lose a sale. These are the stories why.
Shatner Rules by William Shatner
Submitted by eyespy on Nov 22, 2011 | Publisher of Lost Sale: Penguin | 0 comments
Preferred format: Digital
Attempted place of purchase: Amazon/Kobobooks/Books on Board
Reason for Lost Sale: Other Penguin’s ridiculous new library policy, pulling all Kindle books and halting new library sales
Price of Lost Sale: 11.99 USD – US Dollar
Country of Lost Sale: United States
What you did instead: Bought a different book
Comments: When publishers don’t support libraries, I don’t support those publishers. Taking books out of the hands of the next generation of readers is a poor business model. I prefer to do business with companies that promote literacy and the love of books.
