Comments: Some books I buy and keep for ever, for the certainty I’ll re-read them and for the sheer joy of owning them. Those books are cheap at almost any price.
Others I buy for an easy read to pass a long journey or a long winter night, then give away for someone else to enjoy.
This book falls into the second category, so why would I pay £9.99 when I can buy dozens of books of this type for my e-reader, for well under a fiver? When this one pops up in a charity shop or my library, or when the e-book price drops below the paperback price, I’ll give it a go. No hurry.
